Public Notebook

Your private notes and public writing, in one tap.

Starting a personal blog shouldn't require three weekends of configuring DNS records, tweaking WordPress themes, or paying $30/month for email marketing software.

Owldo gives you a private, offline-first notebook to think and plan your day—and a sovereign URL at owldo.app/you whenever you want to open a page to the world. No AI slop. No popups. No tracking. Just your mind on the page.

Our Philosophy

“A blog demands polish. A notebook invites honesty.”

The blogging industry convinced people that sharing thoughts requires becoming a digital publisher with themes, plugins, and marketing funnels. A public notebook lowers the bar: raw, honest, and published in one tap.

Why the Bar for a "Blog" Is Too High

When people set out to create a traditional blog, they feel immense pressure: every article must look like a polished 2,000-word magazine essay with a stock photo and social cards. That pressure paralyzes writing.

A notebook is different. A notebook can hold a 2-sentence observation, a list of book recommendations, a messy work-in-progress, or a deep manifesto. By embracing the "Public Notebook" model, publishing anxiety disappears.

The Link You Are Proud to Put in Your Bio

Instead of sending people to an ad-cluttered platform where paywalls block your friends from reading paragraph three, your Owldo notebook provides an immaculate, fast-loading reading experience.

There are no cookie consent modals, no app-download banners, and no algorithmic feeds recommending rage-bait next to your essays. It is a quiet oasis of human prose.

Zero Maintenance, Zero DevOps

You never have to update plugins, patch database vulnerabilities, or audit SSL certificates. Owldo handles all edge caching, OpenGraph cards, and RSS feed generation in the background automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep my personal notes private while publishing others?

Yes. In Owldo, all notes are 100% private and stored locally on your device by default. A note only goes live if you explicitly open its settings and click "Publish".

Can I use my own custom domain with my public notebook?

Yes. On Owldo Everywhere ($3/month), you can attach your own domain (e.g., yourname.com or notes.yourname.com) with automated SSL and zero hosting setup.

Do readers need an account to read my notebook?

Never. Your public notebook renders as standard, lightning-fast web pages accessible to anyone on the open web.
